Braincure Biotech is dedicated to pursuing the development and commercialization of novel treatment approaches in the fight against dementia, with a particular focus on Alzheimer’s disease. Our vision is to apply what we know about the effect of momentum stimulation on improved cognitive function to create a new and more effective treatment paradigm. For the millions of people living with, or in fear of, an Alzheimer’s diagnosis, our success could mean hope for the future and a lifetime preserved. Our goal is the development and commercialization of a medical device with the potential to arrest or significantly slow Alzheimer’s disease progression.
The Disease
Alzheimer’s disease is a devastating neurodegenerative disease of the central nervous system for which there is no disease-modifying treatment. Alzheimer’s disease is responsible for 60-80% of all cases of dementia and progressively destroys the cognitive abilities of its victims. The disease is named after Dr. Alois Alzheimer who, in 1906, first described brain shrinkage and plaques and tangles in the brain of a woman who died with an unexplained mental illness that featured memory loss and behavioral instability.
Today, the scientific community suggests that two proteins are implicated in the pathology of Alzheimer’s disease: Amyloid beta (Abeta) and Tau protein. Abeta is a fragment of a larger, membrane-bound protein whose normal function is believed to be in the forming and dissolving of connections between brain cells that are needed for nerve cell communication. According to the Amyloid Cascade Hypothesis, these monomeric fragments of Abeta become misfolded in a chain reaction, then aggregate to form multi-unit oligomers which then form fibrils that are deposited in the brain as the amyloid plaques that were first described by Alois Alzheimer.

Since its inception, Braincure Biotech has focused mainly on the operational side of business. Research and development has always been the primary objective of the company; however, since 2012 when the company’s trials revealed better than expected results the company’s executives started to analyze the possibility of funding their operational growth through equity placements.
During 2013 the company has completed direct finding through 2 PRE-IPO allocations and has gathered over one-thousand recorded shareholders. Using newly added resources, the company has opened current offices and production facilities in Taipei, Taiwan.
2014 was a year of exponential growth. The final PRE-IPO allocation has been placed at US$5.00 per unit and an additional 300 shareholders have been added to the company’s ownership.
Having such a diverse structure the company executives feel that listing on the United States Stock Exchange will give the company the necessary exposure for their revolutionary Alzheimer’s disease treatment.
Currently, Braincure Biotech is in the final stages of preparation for public listing on one of the main United States exchanges. The board together with underwriters are confident that the minimum IPO target price of US$7.50 per unit will be outperformed during the first trading session. The three-year target estimate is plus US$35 per unit.
